I came to writing because a close friend architect and designer convinced me to explain in a book how hard it is to give birth to new design, new theories, new ideas, new ways of thinking, new art, new science that the world would eventually be willing to adopt. I broke down the creative challenge in a simple model The Intuitive Compass™ to give access to the complexity of the creative process and show everyone how to access their creative genius and make the best decisions in life to solve problems more efficiently.
As I reflected deeply on the subject I realized that the source of creativity and sustainability is the same: the balance of reason and instinct. The logical way we approach life is focused on trying to dominate nature and what’s human. It’s this type of overly rational worldview that is making our world less efficient and non sustainable. I decided to identify a new integrated and balanced approach to problem solving that would help us become more creative, prosperous and sustainable. And this is what i did. It requires play and trust, discipline and humility, reason and intuition.
My life journey has been multifold. It took me first through a formal business education in finance and marketing then professional training as an opera singer, a clinical psychology practitioner, a yoga instructor and an executive coach. I have lived in four different countries, traveled through 50 or more and now enjoy French American dual citizenship. Every part of the solutions I suggest is the fruit of direct experience, observation or personal research.
My teachings, models and concepts have proved to be very useful to businesses and leaders around the world helping them to be very successful in spite of difficulties due to outdated business models, waning brands or disillusioned teams. Results have been phenomenal and I am grateful for this. The next step for me now is to take this knowledge to all aspects of human endeavor: education, scientific research, international affairs, politics, social innovation and more.
Today i write, design and produce educational content to help us think in sustainable and creative ways and make the world a better place for as many people as possible. This is what fuels me everyday and keeps me going in a world challenged with so many imbalances.
